When it comes time to make your new website live you already know you're going to have to make it sing with the search engines. You know who they are, but do they know you? Make sure you understand what search engines look for or your site is doomed to sit lost and alone in web.

Certain design styles may contain technical issues that can keep search engines from finding you.

For instance, search engines cannot read text that's incorporated into a graphic. They also have a hard time reading split screens, and be sure to re-think using commas in the keyword metatag. Often the search engine will consider those words individually and avoid trying out different combinations for a more accurate search.
