Change is all around the profession and AccountingWEB sat down for a video chat with top executives from a variety of accounting application companies, here at the Scaling New Heights conference, to talk about their views on accountants and the shifts affecting their daily lives.

In part two of this video series, we spoke with Founder and CEO Rene Lacerte; Jim McGinnis, vice president of Intuit's Accountant & Advisor Group; and SmartVault CEO Eric Pulaski at the ProAdvisor-centric Scaling New Heights event going on this week in New Orleans.

In our sit-down sessions, these executives briefly discussed their viewpoints on accountants, what has changed the most, and offered a bit of advice on what practitioners could be doing. provides automated cloud-based accounts payable and receivable functions that integrate with many accounting systems.
