Vest Begins Personalized Portal

Is there room for one more portal? H.D. Vest thinks there is, and has come out with '' as a way to continuously market its products and services to its clients and potential customers.

Using real-time applications, the portal is designed to provide information on investment planning, along with links to Vest services and other resources.

The portal marks the second time this year that the Dallas-based company has banked on the power of the Internet; in January, it debuted the Web site and provided the ability to file tax returns via the Web. In the spring, the company enjoyed strong activity, processing more than 260,000 returns.

'At a time when the industry is so product-centric, we are concentrating on being consumer-centric,' says Herb Vest. 'We developed this product with the intention of focusing on the increasing demand for fulfilling the consumer's personal needs.'
