The recent demise of many dotcoms, along with a drop in technology stocks over the last month has made even the most liberal investor cautious of today's market. As a financial professional, what can you do to counsel your own company, customers or clients about the future of online investing?
GlobalNetFinancial.com's CFO Michael Jacobs takes a no-holds barred look at the subject in a new interview, talking about his firm's strategy and position in dealing with financial matters and how these subjects affect their audience.
Take, for example, TheStreet.com, an online provider of investor information and trading. The original model, says Jacobs, was built on the premise that the site would sell a third of its content to other providers, but since this has not happened, the site now is up for sale.
