Document management and file-sharing service SmartVault has upgraded its accountant edition, designed to address daily challenges professionals face from manual, time-draining work to ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.

Overall, the latest version, which gets officially released with pricing starting at $35 per user, per month, was also designed to speed up and simplify an accountant's personal workflow.

A few of the new core features include:

  • SmartVault Connected Desktop—built to find, view, and edit client documents quickly and easily, designed and optimized to handle day-to-day document workflow.
  • Customizable templates—to simplify the process for adding new clients, automatically creating folders, users, security permissions, and workflow rules.
  • SmartVault Print Driver—allows users to print and automatically route files to the right folder from any app. It also delivers out-of-the-box tags to automatically route files to the right folder for the right client.
  • Bulk email and mail merge—to send custom emails to five, 50, or 500 clients.

“At SmartVault, we are passionately focused on enhancing the daily work environment for accountants,” SmartVault founder and CEO Eric Pulaski said in a statement. “At every turn our team is working to enhance our technology to help firms reduce time spent on manual, time-consuming tasks that distract employees from higher-value work, like growing the business or offering strategic advisory services to clients. What we are doing is clearly working because adoption of SmartVault has significantly accelerated over the past few years.”

The company claims more than 7,000 accountants are now using SmartVault for over 100,000 clients. If you're not one of them, feel free to reach out at www.smartvault.com. And if you are, feel free to share what you think of it for your practice and your clients.
