Sage North America has rolled out upgrades to the U.S. version of Sage One Accounting, the company’s only cloud accounting product, including full bank reconciliations and some new pricing that includes a free version.

The product, primarily geared toward startup companies and the accountants who work with them, has received similar improvements that were rolled out 18 months ago to the U.K. Sage One product. The most notable additions include a formal bank reconciliation tool; batch entry; deeper multiuser controls; the ability to make a call; 10 new reports; and more multinational capabilities.

There is also now a free version, which allows businesses to issue up to five invoices per month and link one bank account. In addition, the Sage One Accounting premium subscription is available at a $5 per month introductory rate (valued at $10), offering unlimited expenses, invoices, bills, and quotes and the ability to link to an unlimited number of bank accounts. This subscription also includes multiuser and multicurrency invoicing options.

Small businesses working with the Sage One Accounting premium subscription will be able to collaborate with their accountant using Sage One Accountant Edition.

“All small businesses need access to a simple and efficient way to manage their accounting and invoicing needs to ensure their finances are in order, while instilling confidence in their customers and partners,” Mike Savory, Sage One product manager, said in a statement. “Sage continues to listen to the needs of small businesses, and we believe they will find Sage One Accounting ideal for organizing finances, preparing for tax time, and partnering with their accountant, all while putting themselves in a position for growth.”
