Intuit has announced it will be partnering with vendors such as Office Depot, Gateway and Ralph's Electronics to offer discounts up to 40 percent on various products offered on the site. The company will make its money by charging commissions on each transaction.
Though the market is already saturated with business-to-business and business e-commerce sites that have left investors wanting, Intuit feels there is still a place for them in the mix.
In a press release Intuit vice president is quoted as saying, "Suppliers are eager to reach the small business market. With the QuickBooks Shopping Source, suppliers can easily reach a large base of small businesses rather than try to build a community piece by piece."
