A new virus, that is already dealt with and resolved, illustrates the vulnerability associated with handhelds and their ability to catch a virus.
This virus, which really was in the form of a 'Trojan Horse,' was called the Crack 1.1, and was the result of a download program for handhelds. Crack 1.1 wiped out all applications.
A Trojan Horse is a virus that looks like a software program, but infiltrates a system and has the potential of doing massive damage to a hard drive.
Handhelds are susceptible to viruses because of their infrared ports and the ability to receive information, as well as the fact that many devices now are wireless, as in the Palm VII.
