BNA Tax & Accounting has launched its first application for the BlackBerry with the creation of BNA Quick Tax Reference – an electronic version of its Quick Tax Reference Guide, which is made available annually in print to tax practitioners. The BlackBerry app follows the release of the BNA Quick Tax Reference iPhone app in April.
"We've received a great deal of positive feedback for our Quick Tax Reference iPhone app and, subsequently, many requests for a BlackBerry version", said George Farrah, executive editor at BNA Tax & Accounting. "This BlackBerry app gives practitioners tax rates for multiple years: 2007 to 2010, and does basic calculations of individuals' taxes based on their filing status."
The Quick Tax Reference app is the latest tool that BNA Tax & Accounting has created to meet practitioners' changing needs, according to the company.
"We've listened to subscriber feedback and requests to receive tax and accounting research tools online and via mobile devices. Our customers rely on BNA for guidance, and we want to make sure they can access the essential information they need no matter where they are", said Darren McKewen, BNA Tax & Accounting group publisher. "Applications like these just make good sense."
Quick Tax Reference is available for download to the BlackBerry and iPhone. An Android version currently is in development and should be available by late summer, according to the company.
