Congratulations to all who made the top one hundred this week! We applaud our Accounting Top 100 participants as we recognize the extra effort it takes for these professionals to be active on social media on top of managing their businesses and careers.
If you’re not familiar with our social media leaderboard, participants are scored according to their social media activity (you may read more about how it works at the end of this article).
Our Partner Program provides valuable tools to support your clients and our Accountant Program can help empower your firm’s growth and profitability. Be sure to click the links to learn more.
Understanding that many of our participants are juggling a lot this time of year, we asked everyone to take a short break and share where they’d like to get away if they could. The responses were fun and we invite you to check out their social reactions to the latest #AccountingTop100 bulletin release below.
Here are some highlights from the latest Top 100…
Over the next several releases, we’re featuring leaderboard members who sit on our newly launched Meta Influencers Roundtable. You may read about the November 1 Roundtable here: Accounting Meta Influencers Discuss Trends, Provide Actionable Insights. Our next Roundtable will be held on March, 16, 2022.
This week, we spotlight Dan Luthi, CPA (@danluthi on Twitter), and COO at Ignite Spot Accounting Services out of Kaysville, Utah. Dan’s firm helps hundreds of businesses throughout the United States to improve accounting, reporting, and technology systems. He currently serves on the Intuit Accountant Council, a global group which helps shape the direction of the QuickBooks accounting software.
Dan is a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, Tsheet Pro, Bill.com Guru, and a Gusto Partner Advisory Council member. Add to these impressive credentials his accounting experience in several industries from pharmacies to restaurants and golf courses, Dan’s expertise makes him a valued voice on Avalara’s Meta-Influencer panel.
Utah is home to Dan, his wife and children. Dan tells us that in his spare time he does woodworking in his shop.
Movers and shakers:
The next two members edged closer to the Top 10 of the Leaderboard this week! Lielette Calleja, AAT @lielettecalleja advanced 27 points from #51 to land within the Top 100 at #24, and Charles Kroll, CPA @charlespkroll finds himself at #29 after moving up 19 points from #48. I know it's not high on many people's list, but if I could get away for a week, my first choice would be Abruzzo. pic.twitter.com/Keng9EogRd

A peaceful week enjoying San Diego area beaches and surrounding area sounds great to me. I love to walk in pretty places; you can walk for hours in this city.

How the leaderboard works: The Accounting Top 100 social media leaderboard uses an algorithm that scores and ranks users based on five separate metrics, each of which is weighted according to its perceived value. These five metrics are calculated every two weeks and combined to form a Power Score: a 1-100 value based on Rise.Global’s Relative Scoring Method. This Power Score determines a user’s rank on each new leaderboard release.
Want to see yourself rank even higher?
Remember, a new leaderboard with updated rankings is generated every two weeks, so keep up the great work on social media and watch your ranking climb!

Avalara’s Accounting Top 100 leaderboard (the “Leaderboard”) is assembled using a list of accounting professional users that’s curated by manual entry as well as by Rise.Global's internal Twitter search functionality. We reserve the right to change scoring metrics used for ranking and to exclude anyone from the list, in our sole discretion. The Leaderboard is not an endorsement, recommendation or sponsorship of any of the accounting professionals on the Leaderboard, and we do not make any representation or guarantee of their ability or reliability. Assessments by different methods or based on different information may yield different results. The Leaderboard is only a starting point to gather information about accounting professionals, and you should not rely on it to decide whether to hire an accounting professional.

I was actually on the list before? Figured I was one of the newcomers. Glad to make it though!

Thanks (1)The leaderboard was "soft launched" over a month ago, so you were likely included in the initial user list while everything got up and running. Newcomers are those in the Top 100 who signed up in-between leaderboard releases. Glad you made it as well!

Thanks (0)Well, I have gone from 343 to 240 as of April 29th on the #accountingtop100 list. Maybe one day I will see @drquickbooks of "always sunny" and shut down Seattle next to 99 other accountants (many of whom I know and follow) after I share a few more gifs which are supposed to help increase your rank.
