No Golf in the Olympics and replace ping pong?
See the 2008 Olympics, I continually get bothered by one thing and it's not a horrible comment. I was confused by the absence of golf. I know what you can think of and I'm thinking the same thing, ' does the world really need another sport to be added to the Olympic list? ' But the answer must be a resonating ' yes '.
Golf is, after all, a legitimate sport, giving it a clear advantage over half the so-called ' sport ' is currently accepted by the Olympics. Take Ping pong ball for example.
If you're reading this ping pong ball mindset is legal, then I have no problem with you that you are a complete moron. Ping Pong ball, not the sport, is a miniature version of tennis, which is a sport. There is no actual dispute. If we are forced to accept ping pong ball as a legitimate sport, then why don't we let the miniature versions of other sports into the Olympics? What about Foosball? It looks a little like a small version of football with me and is a much more enjoyable hell[***] to play rather than ping pong ball. What about the miniature golf? Who wouldn't want to see an American team completely seriously put the gold into the drawing bridge?
I honestly have no problem with ping pong ball. I'm just saying I want some consistency, that takes me to my main tweezers with the Olympics. Ping Pong ball has no business in the Olympics, but I believe it has more right to be there rather than dress or gymnastics, because of table tennis, while still not a sport, in my opinion, at least the ' end ' sport. What is sport ' finishing line '?
There are two types of sports in the Olympics: Sports ' are appreciated ' and ' sport-ending '. An example of the Finish Line Sport includes: Running, swimming, fencing, archery, football (soccer) and quite a lot of other things. In an end sport, someone crosses the front or highest jump or most points scored. There is no question about who will win the medal. As I am this is the essence of a real sport, two teams or competition players win.
Examples of sports are evaluated include diving, dressing, all gymnastics, sometimes punching if needed to decide, swim in sync and many other lame sports. In a sports assessment, there is no clear winner and third party deciding which contestants do the best. Even if these are the most qualified professionals, they're still just those who have opinions.
Such an event is called ' Dressage '. In case you miss this prestigious sport, it involves a horse, a jockey and prancing. Well, prancing. "Judge " sits on the sidelines and really considers the Prancing horse implementation and choosing the best, because in dressage there is no end line for the horses to pass. No bars they have to jump through. There is no point other than the point absolutely no reward points of judges. Only the wise horses and a variety of morons expert assess the whole shebang.
How can ' sport ' this get the Olympic recognition while the other real sports, such as golfing, are completely ignored? What will the Olympic committee approve? I can only imagine it will be some stupid sports rating where women moronic prance around with hula-hoops like cheerleaders on steroids. Oh ya, that is also the Olympic sport. It is called artistic gymnastics. Really, I'm not lying. They actually awarded medals for it.
The problem may be that many people are hanged when playing golf in the Olympics. I'm going to solve some of these hang up right now.
Some people say that golfers have been a global sport with many international competitions to decide who is the best. There is no need to be present in the Olympics. Football is a religion more than sports to half the world. It has a global contest and many international competitions, with such a contest, is said to be more common, if not more important than the Olympics. Has anyone ever heard of the World Cup? So why football is allowed in the Olympics, certainly not because it has had the global presence.
Some say that we should not have a competitive advantage if the golf becomes an Olympic sport. Good for me. So we just let the amateur compete. Who really wants to see Tiger bow down to accept a gold medal on top of everything else the guy has won? Not me. So, okay, well, allow empowering some amateurs and let the game begin.
Some people feel that golf has no Olympic accommodation. William K Wolfrum had this to say, ' Go to the Louvre Museum a day and check out the statues of ancient Greek athletes. You'll notice that few of them describe the five iron ones who have a caddy on their side to check the wind. In any way, golf is a great game, but it is not a worthy Olympiad.
While it is true that you cannot find the nude statues of the ancient Olympic athletes holding five tables, there is a long list of other sports, you will never see the statues of the ancient Olympic athletes who are Do. Diving. Synchronized swimming. Jump. Sailing. Dressage. Artistic Gymnastics.
I guess they'll laugh silly if they see our current Olympic event list. Golf, at least, they can understand. The ancient Olympians only practice the sports end as sports, wrestling, horse racing, boxing requires no decision, and a thing called Pankration. A sport is very similar to those of today's martial arts, but these are not light-weight matches.
The ancient Greeks were not messing around.
In a match with a man named Arrichion of Phigaleia won the event even though he died. His opponent gave him in a choking and Erichson, in his desperation to the exit, breaking the fingers and ankles of the enemy. Opponents almost got rid of the pain of broken bones and were lodging. When arbitration removed two men, it was discovered that Arrichion was dead due to being choked. Not a country to wimp out, the Greeks crowned the man's body dead with olives and claimed him as a hero.
Would these people understand any of our rated sports?
I realize that golf is not the most lavish sport. When compared to the ancient Olympics, all modern sports will always come up short. All I say is that at least golf is the end sport that helps it become more prominent with the original idea of the ancient Olympics and therefore, in my opinion, deserves a point in the Olympic event list Present. At least, why not make a driving event the longest? How hard will it be for host countries to install a grass field or a single hole? How wonderful would it be to see the finest drives best of the best will offer?
My fear is that even golf can't find the way to the Olympics, the people who run things will turn it somehow.
