I began my career at Robert W. Baird as a Staff Accountant in the Private Client Group. A few years later I joined Charter Manufacturing Company, Inc. at the steel division. At Charter Steel I held progressive analytic and leadership roles within the Commercial and Finance teams. In February of 2012, I accepted a broadening role as the corporate Shared Services Manager and three years later was promoted to the Assistant Controller – Shared Services role reporting to the CFO. In this capacity, I was responsible for leading the centralized Shared Services accounting functions of Credit/Collections, Accounts Payable and Payroll. While I was in role I had the opportunity to assess the Shared Services functions for improvement opportunities, gain business support to implement change and successfully lead multiple initiatives to completion.
