To all of our readers, it is with great sadness that I report to you the passing of one of our most dedicated contributors Terry Sheridan. She had battled a terminal illness for a few years and it finally took her peacefully this month.

Terry came to us as contributor nearly five years ago, thanks to the inclusion by our former Staff Writer and Associate Editor Jason Bramwell. In its nearly 20 years of existence, AccountingWEB has gone through many changes, though I dare say none more dramatic than after I took the reins as Editor in 2015.

Terry, the consumate professional and true journalist that she was, stayed with us through our transition from being a straight accounting news site to more of a community and resource dedicated to accounting professionals. Her intimate knowledge of tax and regulartory policies made her a valued resource for us, as we continued to need some form of news on those topics. She knew best how to handle it and give it the right voice for our site.

Even in her final weeks, after revealing her illness to me, she wanted nothing more than to keep writing and working with us and we are the better for knowing her and having her voice here. Terry, you will be deeply missed by all of us at AccountingWEB and your loyal readers as well. Rest in peace.

Oh, my. I was just reading a Terry Sheridan article yesterday and sent it to my research assistant. God bless Terry and her family. I already miss her.
