Day 45: Seated Hip Stretch

Sciatica is a pain that can occur anywhere along your leg from your hip to your foot. Keep your sciatic nerve happy with today's easy stretching exercise.

Step 1: Pull your chair back from your desk and sit with your back straight.

Step 2: Cross your leg by placing your left ankle on your right knee. Your left knee will be bent comfortably - don't press down on your left knee.

Step 3: Place your right hand on your right ankle and place your left hand under your left knee.

Step 4: Gradually bend forward at the waist until you feel a stretch in your hip. Inhale and exhale while you hold the stretch for 15 seconds.

Step 5: Sit up straight again, then switch legs and repeat the exercise.

Repeat 20 times.
