Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) is pleased to announce Adam Grinde as the new leader for the firm's International Services practice and Mike McKee as the new leader for the firm's International Assurance practice.

Grinde is currently in the Manufacturing and Distribution Group and serves as the Chicago International Services leader. He also leads the Baker Tilly US-German desk where he has instilled multidisciplinary cooperation. Grinde has extensive experience in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions; research and resolution of complex accounting and disclosure issues; and significant project management of process improvement, business consulting, and strategy development.
McKee currently serves as the firm-wide leader of the Life Sciences and Emerging Technologies practice and has led the US-UK desk. He is a founding member of Baker Tilly International Attest Committee and successfully developed significant collaborative attest engagements. He is a frequent participant at the Baker Tilly International network conferences. McKee routinely works closely with management on corporate matters, such as financings, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and other expansion-related activities.
BDO USA, LLP, one of the nation's leading professional service organizations, today announced that Wendy Hambleton, Scott Guertin, and Joe Johnson have each been elected to three-year terms to the firm's board of directors. Guertin and Johnson are new directors, while Hambleton was re-elected to a new term of service. In a related matter, the board of directors has named Matthew Becker as the new presiding member of the board. Becker succeeds Wayne Berson, who will be assuming the duties of firm CEO. These changes are effective November 1.
Hambleton is a partner and the director of BDO USA's National SEC practice, based in Chicago. She works extensively with the firm's clients and engagement teams to prepare SEC filings, communicate with the SEC staff, and resolve related accounting and reporting issues. In addition, Hambleton serves as a key member of the firm's national capital markets and corporate governance practices. She also represents BDO USA on the BDO Global IFRS Working Party. She is a graduate of William & Mary.
Guertin is a tax partner in BDO's Boston office and has more than twenty-five years of experience serving a wide variety of domestic and international corporate clients in the retail, distribution, manufacturing, and high-technology industries. His responsibilities include corporate tax planning, for both federal and state income taxes, and representation of clients before the IRS and state taxing authorities. He has extensive experience with corporate taxation and multistate filings. Guertin is a graduate of Nichols College.
Johnson is a partner and assurance business line leader for BDO's Orange County office. He has approximately twenty-eight years of public accounting experience providing business consulting and assurance services to growing private and publicly held companies. He serves organizations in a broad range of industries, including service, pharmaceutical, high technology, hospitality, software, manufacturing and distribution, and financial services. A graduate of the University of Southern California, Joe received an MBA in Finance from California State University, Fullerton.
Becker is a partner and member of the board of directors of BDO USA. Based in the firm's Grand Rapids office, he serves as the tax business line leader for BDO's Central Region. He provides tax consulting services to both private and public companies in the technology, manufacturing, retail, distribution, service, and construction industries. During his career, he has assisted clients in developing efficient tax structures domestically and worldwide and has vast experience with the regulatory compliance requirements associated with such structures. He is a graduate of Michigan State University.

D'Arcangelo & Co., LLP, a regional CPA and consulting firm, has announced the addition of Amy M. Lamberto to its Rome, New York, office. She graduated from Utica College with a bachelor's degree in accounting and from State University of New York Institute of Technology with a master's degree in accounting.
Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC (LBMC), one of the Southeast's largest accounting and business consulting firms, has added Chris Hampton and Kurt J. Zollner in its Brentwood (Nashville) office. Both have joined the firm in staff positions in the Accounting and Assurance Services department.
Hampton, who is originally from Paducah, Kentucky, is a recent graduate of Murray State University where he earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree. Hampton will be assisting with general auditing projects across a variety of industries.
Zollner will be focusing on a variety of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing/distribution, real estate investment companies, and service providers. Originally from Athens, Tennessee, he earned both a bachelor's and a master's degree from Tennessee Technological University.
The CPA and advisory firm of Louis T. Roth & Co. announced September 21, 2012, the addition of Kevin Graham and Connie Nipp to its professional staff.
Graham serves as a staff accountant. Prior to joining the firm, he was the compliance and controls co-op for General Cable Corporation. Graham received his Master of Business Administration from Northern Kentucky University in 2012. In addition, he graduated from Brescia University with a BS in finance and economics.
Nipp joins the firm as an administrative assistant. In her role, she performs a range of administrative duties for the Louis T. Roth team, including preparing audit and tax reports for the firm's clients and executing other special initiatives.
Moore Colson, an Atlanta-based accounting firm, recently announced the hiring of Kristi Smith as an associate in the Corporate Accounting Practice. Smith brings a wealth of industry experience to the firm, including construction, distribution, printing, banking, engineering, and insurance. She has an impressive skill set that includes experience in AP and AR, payroll, general ledger maintenance, financial statement preparation, month-end close, account reconciliation, process improvement, with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Prior to joining Moore Colson, Smith was a premium auditor with Overland Solutions Inc., Duluth, Georgia, where she performed annual audits of commercial workers' compensation, general liability, and automobile insurance policies. Juan Rondon, CPA, CCIFP, CFE has received the globally preferred Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Rondon has successfully met the ACFE's character, experience, and education requirements for the CFE credential and has demonstrated knowledge in four areas critical to the fight against fraud: fraudulent financial transactions, criminology and ethics, legal elements of fraud, and fraud investigation.
Rondon, a manager at Rosen Seymour Shapss Martin & Company LLP, has over ten years of experience in public accounting. He specializes in construction and manufacturing and focuses on auditing, accounting, and tax planning. Rondon holds a BS in accounting from the University at Albany.
Walden Behavioral Care announced today that Lawrence R. Behan has been appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer. In his role, he will supervise all financial and business operations as well as critical administrative functions.
Behan brings twenty years of senior-level finance, administration, and operational expertise to Walden. He previously served as the administrative director at the UMass Medical School's Department of Psychiatry. Behan is the former deputy commissioner and CFO of the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. Earlier in his career, he was CFO at the Committee for Public Counsel Services.
Behan earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Northeastern University and his MBA from Suffolk University.
Wipfli LLP (Wipfli) announced on August 27, 2012, that Scott Riser, CPA, joined the firm as an audit and assurance partner focused on serving construction and real estate companies in the Midwest. Riser brings more than eighteen years of audit and assurance experience to his new role at Wipfli. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Iowa State University.
Prior to joining Wipfli, Riser was a partner and regional leader for the construction and real estate and commercial services groups at a national public accounting firm. He has specialized in working with general and specialty trade contractors, real estate developers, investment funds, and REITs. His clients have ranged from venture-funded start-ups to multinational companies, and have included both private and publicly held companies.
