Citrin Cooperman has announced that several of its accounting professionals will be promoted effective July 1 as part of the firm's continued efforts to recognize the achievements of its personnel and ensure long-term stability. 

The firm has announced that Joseph Ahn, William Conron, Mary Brislin, Scott Gallagher, Albert Salem, and Kfir Ribak will be admitted into the firm's partnership. Additionally, Craig Jacobson will become a principal in the firm.

This year's promotions to director include Andrew Adler and Kellen Prince. Michael Dooley was also promoted to director of Citrin Cooperman Wealth Management. 


Friedman LLP recently added two new partners to its Marlton, New Jersey, office, adding specialized experience to the firm's tax and audit departments. Dominic A. Caglioti, CPA, and Mark A. Nicastro, CPA, MST, joined the firm on June 3. 

Caglioti has more than thirty years of public accounting experience and works with clients in a variety of service fields, including medical, legal, and real estate. He also provides services to manufacturing, distribution, and retail clients as well as professional athletes. Dominic's areas of expertise include tax, financial, estate, and business planning; contract negotiation; and litigation support. Caglioti is a graduate of Villanova University and is a licensed CPA in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Nicastro has over twenty-five years of public accounting and tax experience with clients in a wide variety of industries, including medical, hospitality, and mobile and online technology companies. Additionally, he spent over three years as an IRS agent, where he conducted in-depth tax examinations of individuals and closely held companies. Nicastro received a BS in accounting from Saint Joseph's University and an MS in taxation from Widener University. He is a licensed CPA in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.


Hayashi & Wayland is pleased to congratulate partner Mike Nolan for being chosen as Co-Rotarian of the Year by the Salinas Rotary Club. The award recognizes outstanding dedication and service to the club and is presented each year to the Rotarian who made a significant contribution of service for the year.  Nolan has been a member of the Salinas Rotary Club since 2009 and is currently serving as the board treasurer.

Nolan is the partner in charge of the audit department at Hayashi & Wayland.  He provides audit, accounting, and consulting services to closely held businesses, corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and high-net worth individuals.  His areas of expertise include not-for-profit organizations, governmental agencies, agriculture, wineries and vineyards, and manufacturing.


Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain (LBMC)and the LBMC Family of Companies proudly announce that Marketing Director Leisa Gill was selected to share her expertise as part of a strategic panel at the national 2013 Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM) Summit. The conference was held at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada, June 10-13 with a theme of "Win Your Race: Inspire Innovation. Realize Results."

The conference was held in partnership with the AICPA Practitioners Symposium and Tech+ Conference. The three-day event hosted more than 1,400 attendees with over 400 marketing professionals. The program addressed marketers of every level from first-year to experienced veterans. 

Gill's session titled "Becoming a Strategic Advisor: Lessons Learned from a Marketer" highlighted four professionals in the accounting marketing field, including representatives from various-size firms: national, regional, small, but in major market, and a small local firm. 

Gil represented the regional firm with the experience of not only an accounting firm, but a large family of companies, with LBMC's extensive specialties. Panelists fielded questions from an audience of more than 400 on their career experiences and new challenges in the industry. 

LBMC Marketing Supervisor Christie Knapper also spoke at the conference. Knapper's session",You're Sitting on a Goldmine: How to Take Existing Clients to a New Level of Service and Finish the Race", focused on developing authentic and personal relationships with clients and earning the opportunity to introduce additional service lines to your existing client base.


LBMC, Tennessee's largest regional accounting and business consulting firm, has added Spencer E. Rollins, MBA, CISA, CM, as a manager in its Security & Risk Services Practice in the Brentwood (Nashville) office. LBMC Security & Risk Services provides a wide range of services, including Compliance and IT Security Services to organizations of all sizes, without geographic restriction.

Rollins will be specializing in information security for financial services, government contracts, and health care organizations. Rollins has more than eleven years of information systems risk management and operations experience implementing information security and operational risk strategies that deliver practical solutions to complex business problems. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Rollins obtained his computer science degree from Lane College and completed his MBA at Tennessee State University. 


Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC's (LBMC's)Christopher M. Lovin, CPA/ABV/CFF/CFE and partner in LBMC Valuation, Litigation & Business Transition Services Group, shared his expertise with the Financial Planning Association on June 19 at Lipscomb University's Ezell Center. Lovin's presentation topic covered the key concepts to consider in the valuation of closely held companies. 

Lovin concentrates his practice on valuation and litigation matters involving a variety of industries. He has been qualified as an expert witness on numerous occasions and is engaged in complex litigation cases requiring a determination of business valuation and economic damages. Those cases have included actions resulting from breach of contract, unfair competition, intellectual property infringement, and shareholder disputes. He also performs fraud examinations with substantial experience in embezzlement and financial reporting cases.


LBMC Technologies, LLC,  the Southeast's leading full-service technology firm and a member of the LBMC (Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC) Family of Companies, is pleased to announce the recent addition of Jeremy Flick to the network operations division in its Brentwood (Nashville) office.                               

Flick joins LBMC Technologies  as a technology consultant network engineer. He comes to LBMC from Naxos of America, Inc. where he worked as an IT manager for five years and has vast experience in network administration (desktop/server administration, installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting various information system technologies).


Atlanta-based accounting firm Moore Colson recently announced the hiring of three summer interns: Kady Fulkerson (Tax Services), the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia; Carlyle Yealy (Business Assurance Services), Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and Charley Irons (Tax Services), the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Moore Colson, founded in 1981, is a full-service accounting and consulting firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, providing tax, assurance, management consulting, estate and financial planning, lender advisory services, IT audit consulting services, and corporate accounting services.

Fulkerson plans to graduate in December 2013 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She is a Hope Scholarship recipient and member of the Dean's List. Previously, Fulkerson worked for Ben's Brands for Less, Sandy Springs, Georgia, where she assisted with posting payroll for over fifty employees, trained on accounts payable using Great Plains, assisted with performing a check run and matching checks. She served on the Sponsorship Committee of Shop with a Bulldawg, where she solicited donations and sponsorships from the community and personally helped raise funds and allocate the spending of funds for a child's Christmas. She also helped monitor 200 children while distributing food to over fifty women and children. 

Yealy also plans to graduate in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in psychology. She has been a member of the Dean's List for the past four semesters, and for the last four years. Yealy is the vice president of finance for Delta Delta Delta Sorority, a student academic advisor, a participant in the PwC xACT Case Competition, a member of the Accounting Society, and a facilitator for PREPARE. She also completed a six-week course in managerial accounting in several countries including: Scotland, Ireland, England, France, Spain, and Italy.

Irons plans to graduate in May 2014 with Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in French. He is a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity; a supervisor with Alabama's Intramural Sports; and a volunteer/mentor with One Place Mentoring Program in Tuscaloosa, where he served as a mentor to underprivileged fourth grade students. He is also a member of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honors Organization, University Honors Program, President's List, and Dean's List.


WeiserMazars LLP, a leading accounting, tax and advisory services firm, announced that Steven M. Greene has joined its Pennsylvania office as director in its Insurance Tax Services Group. Greene brings more than twenty-five years of federal and foreign insurance tax experience, including property and casualty, life, health, mortgage, financial guaranty, and title insurance. Additionally, Greene is an expert in accounting for income taxes, both inside and outside of the insurance industry. Greene will further strengthen the firm's capabilities within the Insurance Tax Services Group.

Greene joins WeiserMazars from Ernst & Young's Financial Services Office - Insurance Tax Practice where he was a senior manager responsible for reviewing statutory and GAAP income tax provisions of public and nonpublic clients as part of financial statement audits. 

Greene, a licensed CPA in Pennsylvania, holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Taxation from Drexel University.
