Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC (LBMC), one of the Southeast's largest accounting and business consulting firms, has added Emily A. Sills, CPA, in its Knoxville office as a staff member in the tax department. Originally from Knoxville, Emily is a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a bachelor's degree in accountancy as well as a master's in accountancy. Emily previously worked as a tax intern at LBMC while attending school. Emily is settled in her new role and looking forward to the 2013 tax season, but she is most excited that she recently passed the CPA exam.
Nexia Internationalis delighted to announce its financial results for 2012 with total revenue at US$2.8bn, up a significant 22 percent from 2011. This is the fastest rate of growth among major global accounting networks and catapults Nexia International back into the top ten, according to the latest IAB World Survey.
Regionally, Nexia International saw its highest revenues of US$1.3bn in North America. This was followed by Europe (US$1.09bn), Asia-Pacific (US$300m), Latin America (US$44m), and Africa and the Middle East (US$36m). The global network's North American revenues were bolstered by recently merged US firms CliftonLarsonAllen and CohnReznick, both of which chose to stay with Nexia International following their mergers.

During the year, the international network expanded its presence by attracting member firms in Australia, Bangladesh, China, Mexico, Mongolia, and the UK, resulting in an 11 percent rise in total staff to 22,319 based in 581 offices.

The members of Smith Elliott Kearns & Company, LLC (SEK&Co) are pleased to announce Michael E. Kipe, CPA, David E. St. Clair, CPA, and Kevin B. Stouffer, CPA, were recently promoted to the position of manager with the firm.
Kipe was promoted from supervisor to manager. He joined the firm in 2002 and is primarily focused in the audit department of the firm's Hagerstown office. His experience includes providing and leading audit engagements for various industries, including nonprofit, continuing-care retirement communities, health care, manufacturing, financial institutions, and local government clients.
St. Clair was promoted from supervisor to manager. He joined SEK&Co in 2001 and is a manager in the firm's Hagerstown, Maryland, office. St. Clair has over eleven years' experience in public accounting with a focus on providing auditing, accounting, and tax services to entities in the nonprofit, governmental, construction, and manufacturing industries. In his role, he is responsible for planning and organizing client engagements, preparing and analyzing financial statements, evaluating internal controls, mentoring department staff, and maintaining relationships with the firm's clients. St. Clair recently has shifted his focus to provide tax and accounting services to small business.
Stouffer was promoted from supervisor to manager. He joined the firm in 2004 after graduating from the John L. Grove College of Business at Shippensburg University. Stouffer serves clients as part of the firm's government services team. He specializes in providing audit services to governmental clients, including school districts, boroughs, and other municipalities.
Tate & Tryon is pleased to announce that Christian Spencer, CPA, has been promoted to partner in the firm's Audit and Assurance Services Department effective January 1. Spencer has over sixteen years of experience serving the audit needs of a wide range of nonprofit organizations, including associations, charitable and educational organizations, and political action committees. Prior to joining Tate & Tryon in 2011, Spencer held various audit positions at a national public accounting firm.
