Accounts software for GP partnership

Accounts software for GP partnership

Didn't find your answer?

Can anyone recommend any doctor-specific accounts software for an 8-partner practice that is worth using as opposed to a general package please?

Try Vertisys
Have a look at www.vertisys.co.uk or the software directory on the Accountingweb where Vertisys products appear. Vertisys's GP accounting software does the books for GP practices with up to 12 partners and has an integrated accounts production facility that produces presentable accounts in the prescribed format. All NHS items of income and allowances are catered for and it has a unique facility for apportionment of profits that allows for all types, combinations and permutations of prior shares to be allocated before applying PSR.

Take care
Not an area I know much about - but I did hear a radio 4 program about the new NHS IT system. I would make sure that anything you buy will be compatible and will be the package used in your area. The NHS are apparently going to dictate to Doctors and hospitals the package they use and it will be different in different areas.

GP Accounts from MacLean McNicoll
We use this software for several of our medical practice clients.

Have a look at their web site - www.gpacc.co.uk - and give them a call. MacLean McNicoll are two doctors who have developed the package, and they are very helpful and proactive in providing updates to improve teh functionality of the software.

Another plus is that they offer a free version to accountants, to allow them to review the doctors accounts.
