Paychex, Inc., a provider of payroll, human resource, and benefits outsourcing solutions for small and midsized businesses, has announced the launch of its Paychex Mobile smartphone application for iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry. The app provides Paychex clients powerful tools for instant management and increased productivity, while offering their employees on-the-go access to personal payroll, benefits, and retirement information.
"Paychex is proud to continue the expansion of its Software-as-a-Service offerings with the launch of Paychex Mobile. The app allows users to access their Paychex payroll, benefits, and retirement information when, where, and how they want ‒ directly from the palm of their hand," said Paychex President and CEO Martin Mucci. "With the launch of Paychex Mobile, we look forward to meeting the evolving needs our clients, while maintaining the personal service they rely on every day."
Paychex Mobile provides an optimized screen for easy viewing that allows users to connect to a customized dashboard of favorite tasks that include a variety of employer- or employee-focused features.
- Employee contact list - with one click
- E-mail and call capabilities
- Payroll journal and cash requirements reports
- Employee check stubs and W-2 forms
- Employee time-off balances
- Retirement administrator views
- Check stubs and W-2 forms
- Time-off balances
- Retirement balances, loans, and contributions
- FSA balances and reimbursements
- Basic personal information
The Paychex Mobile dashboard provides a navigation point into the app's various features and allows users to configure and customize the dashboard with their preferences. Additionally, scrolling navigation at the top of the subsequent screens allows users to move freely to other parts of the application, without toggling back to the main menu.
Paychex Mobile is also available to accountants working with Paychex clients. By providing a full range of client reports, the app offers another tool to accountants who need instant access to their clients' data ‒ including the cash requirements and payroll journal reports ‒ further enhancing accountants' role as their clients' most trusted advisor. (Paychex is the preferred payroll and retirement services provider for the AICPA Trusted Business Advisor Program.)
"Our smartphone strategy continues our practice of offering features that benefit all Paychex user groups ‒ our clients, their employees, and the accountants who serve them," said Michael Gioja, Paychex senior vice president of information technology, product management and development. "The Paychex Mobile smartphone app, along with our existing tablet app offerings, demonstrates our commitment to helping business owners, and their employees, use mobile technology to its fullest potential ‒ and we look forward to even more advancements in the months ahead."
Use of the Paychex Mobile smartphone app requires a Paychex Single Sign-On account. Once registered, the same single username and password used to gain access on a laptop, PC, or tablet are also used for smartphone access. Employers do not have to use the app for their employees to access it. If the employer has a Single Sign-On account, employees can then use the smartphone app with a username and password provided by their payroll administrator.
The Paychex Mobile smartphone application is available for download, at no cost, for iPhone from the Apple App Store, for Android from Google Play, and for BlackBerry from BlackBerry App World.
