Jill Ward, senior vice president and general manager of Intuit Accounting Professionals Division, made the following statements regarding Intuit's acquisition of Fifo.
As the time-saving benefits of online and mobile solutions to small businesses and accounting professionals become more undeniable, I'm excited to announce we've acquired Fifo, an Australian market leader in online accounting practice management software.
Fifo's innovative Cloud technology is helping make accounting and bookkeeping firms around the world more efficient, more profitable, while improving their cash flow and growth. By joining Intuit, our combined teams will be able to solve big problems for accountants and bookkeepers, helping them save time and better collaborate with clients."
Change Is Good
As we welcome Fifo to Intuit, we're pleased to share that the Fifo offering will now be FREE to accountants and bookkeepers. Existing and new Fifo users will now be able to access Fifo's working papers and practice management software at no cost, with no disruption to service for current users.
However, two very important things will not change:
There will be no change to Fifo's technical support. Users will continue to receive the same excellent support and expertise they have come to expect.
Fifo is already integrated with QuickBooks Online, making it super easy to build working papers and streamline your workflow. But Intuit QuickBooks Online is proud to be an open platform and, as such, will ensure that Fifo continues to integrate with the small business accounting software clients choose to use, whether you are supporting clients on QuickBooks Online or another software product.
Intuit is investing in deeper integration between the two products to ensure that we continue to deliver the world-class time savings and efficiency you and your clients expect.
Here's what Shane Macfarlane, Fifo CEO and director, said about joining Intuit's global operations:
"At Fifo, we've focused on helping accounting firms and bookkeepers around the world use online solutions to run a more efficient office and be more profitable. Now with the power of Intuit's market-leading QuickBooks accounting and financial solutions, we'll be able to accelerate the pace of delivery and dramatically increase the number of customers we can serve. This is a great day for our company, our customers, and accounting professionals around the world," Macfarlane said.
You can read more from Shane at the Fifo blog or check out a video for more info about Fifo. We look forward to more great developments in the future as our two teams come together. For now, please join me in welcoming Fifo to the Intuit team!
