BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, FEBRUARY 11, 2015:  In a move that dramatically expands the range and types of benefits offered to its 11,000 members, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accounts (MSCPA) today unveiled its new benefits package which, for the first time in its history, includes health insurance and free payroll services.

According to Beth Lyons, CAE, interim CEO of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, the four new benefits are being offered to members as an opportunity to access premium programs that can lower costs, provide greater flexibility based on size of practice and increase business. The four new offerings include health insurance from a variety of providers in Massachusetts, dental insurance provided by Delta Dental of Massachusetts, free payroll services provided by ADP and access to a new mergers and acquisitions network that features the innovative Stat Trader technology platform.

“We know how important it is that our members have the necessary tools at their disposal to manage the cost of running their business, offer competitive benefits packages to employees and provide clients the absolute in best practices today,” Lyons said.  “We’ve listened intently to our members to figure out how we can help them achieve those three goals, and we believe these new benefits, coupled with those already provided by the Society, will go a long way in doing just that.”

MSCPA members can now choose from two health insurance plans based on the size of their workforce. Smaller accounting firms with ten or fewer employees can select a right-sized health insurance plan drawing on all of the providers and options in the Massachusetts marketplace.  Larger firms, in excess of 10employees, will have the option to self-insure, offering additional cost savings and higher degree of plan flexibility.

The new dental plan is being provided by Delta Dental of Massachusetts and is a fully-insured dental plan that allows members to access an extensive network of dentists for both preventative and restorative dental coverage. This benefit combines two of the Delta Dental national dental networks, Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier.

A leader in the payroll services industry, ADP will provide free payroll services to firms with up to 49 employees, and will also allow member firms to offer ADP services to their clients a reduced rate of 10 percent.

Last, the new Stat Trader technology platform will provide mergers and acquisitions networking on a complimentary basis to MSCPA members and their clients. This exchange network profiles financial statistics an additional market data to help end users evaluate, buy, sell or connect with private businesses.
