Mackintosh to drive growth in accounting firm market in the Americas for Thomson Reuters

Teresa Mackintosh, CPA.CITP, has been announced as the senior vice president and general manager of the Professional Market, Americas, within the Workflow & Service Solutions, (W&SS) group, for the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters.

In this new position, Mackintosh will be responsible for driving profitable growth of all software and services for the professional accounting firm market across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. She fills the position vacated by Jon Baron, who was recently appointed to the position of president of the Americas Business Unit within the Workflow & Service Solutions (W&SS) group. As part of this re-alignment, Mackintosh will report to Baron in Tax & Accounting's Michigan office.

The Americas unit is one of three regional income tax businesses in the newly-created W&SS business unit. The other two business regions are Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA); and Asia and Australia. Also under Baron will be a group dedicated to the corporate income tax market in the Americas, led by Joe Jackson.

Mackintosh joined Thomson Reuters in 1996, holding positions in product development, product management and strategy, and strategic marketing. Prior to this position, she was senior vice president, Core Segment of Professional Software & Services, which focused on serving small and medium-sized accounting firms. For the past four years, she has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in the accounting industry by Accounting Today, and for the past five years has been named to The CPA Technology Advisor's "40 Under 40" list.

Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Mackintosh was a tax consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. She is located in Dexter, Michigan.
