Need 5-Year Exit Plan for $20 Million CPA Firm

What attributes are large regional or national firms looking to buy in CPA firms?

We are currently a $10m firm looking to sell in 5 to 7 years and would like to know what attributes large firms are looking for in their acquisitions. Are they looking for multi-discipline approach, wealth managment, insurance and tax, or are they looking for talent and margin within traditional tax and accounting revenue streams? Will continued growth limit our ability to sell? How does geography play into this?

Ryan, you actually work for an M&A firm, not a CPA firm so are you asking this for a prospect or client looking to sell their firm in the next 5 years?
