By Dave Tate, CPA, Esq. - Here is a link to an interesting paper (40 pages) in which the author discusses large charitable gifts of public company stock by senior executives, and possible evidence suggesting that in some situations the contribution of stock appears to be timed to occur before a sharp drop in stock price.

This isn't a paper or study that I was involved in. So . . . if you have any problems with the paper, I would like to hear about it, but don't blame me.

Click on the link, and then click on "Download Document," and then on "New York, USA."
