As currently reflected on the SEC Commissioners webpage (Jan. 22), Elisse B. Walter has been named Acting Chair of the SEC, following the departure of former Chairman Christopher Cox. Read more about this here.

Separately, following the inauguration of President Barack Obama, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel issued a memorandum to the heads of all executive agencies and departments concerning pending and new regulations.
