Recently, Virchow, Krause and Company, LLP announced the launch of an international services group to satisfy the strategic globalization needs of the middle market. The newly created practice group will focus on providing companies with a full range of domestic and international planning and compliance services needed to be competitive in the global marketplace.
"With the launch of our global services group, we are stepping out to become a different type of company," said Tim Christen, CEO of Virchow Krause. "We have seen an increasing demand from companies looking to grow internationally. The new practice group will provide solutions beyond the basics, to businesses ranging from small start ups to large Fortune 500 companies."
Services offered by Virchow Krause's international services group include international revenue enhancement programs, international marketing and business development, global project management, management consulting, international compliance support, and strategic sourcing programs. In addition, as the nation's largest independent member of Baker Tilly International, the 10th largest accounting network in the world, Virchow Krause can provide local expertise in virtually any overseas marketplace.
"We have a full understanding of the challenges of doing business abroad and the areas of opportunity available, and the vision to help companies of all sizes sustain their business by seeking out these opportunities," added Christen.
According to the Wisconsin State Journal, the move to acquire Global Business Strategies was the third recent merger for Virchow Krause, which has absorbed firms in both Detroit and Chicago since November. Virchow Krause and the recently merged firms combined for more than 800 employees, 134 partners and annual revenues of more than $130 million last year, making Virchow Krause the 13th-largest accounting firm in the country.
