PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting has inked a deal with Sun Microsystems, Inc. to expand their global alliance to jointly deliver end-to-end, cross-industry solutions to address critical business functions. Utilizing PwC Consulting's business strategy and integration services and Sun's Open Net Environment (Sun ONE) architecture that includes iPlanet Software as well as Sun Enterprise Servers and Sun StorEdge and complemented by select Sun consulting, training and support services, the alliance will capitalize on the respective strengths of the two organizations and deliver differentiated services to Global 2000 enterprises.
PwC Consulting is a leading CRM consulting services provider and Sun is a leading provider of industrial-strength hardware and software. As part of the expanded relationship, PwC Consulting has selected Sun as the preferred UNIX hardware platform in its new CRM ACCEL initiative -- Architecture for Cross-channel Customer Experience and Loyalty. PwC Consulting has been selected as a preferred CRM integrator in Sun's Global Solutions Alliance initiative.
This alliance signals a turning point for the two organizations, who have collaborated for more than 10 years to deliver complex business solutions. As part of this initiative, the two organizations will go to market together, with initial focus in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) market segment. Joint client engagements are underway in key industries, including: communications, consumer and industrial products, energy and utility, financial services, government, and oil and gas sectors. Together, PwC Consulting and Sun will provide business strategy, technology architecture and platform integration.
