Following is the latest roundup of firm news for the week of September 27, 2010.

Argy, Wiltse & Robinson, P.C. (Argy), a certified public accounting and business advisory firm, recently announced that it has successfully completed its recent peer review with no deficiencies. Argy has received peer review reports with only the highest possible grade since its inception in 1991.

Friedman LLP, an accounting, tax, and consulting firm with offices in New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island, was again named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America. Also, the firm will be serving as a Hospitality Sponsor of the YMCA of Burlington County's 37th Annual Golf Classic, an annual fundraiser and community event, to be held Monday, October 11, at the Riverton Country Club.

Lewis & Knopf CPAs, P.C. recently announced that Anita Abrol, CPA, has been appointed to the Investment Committee of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint (CFGF).

Miguel G. Farra, CPA, JD, partner-in-charge of the Tax and Accounting Department at nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP (MBAF), was appointed to serve on the inaugural University of Miami School of Business' Accounting Advisory Board.

PwC LLP announced that Martyn Curragh has been appointed leader of the U.S. Transaction Services practice, succeeding John McCaffrey who will relocate overseas to take on additional leadership responsibilities within the firm.

CPA and consulting firm Richey, May & Co. LLP recently announced the promotions of Jared M. Frost, CPA, Dustin K. Pfluger, CPA, and Yazmin C. Roman. Frost has been promoted to the position of senior tax manager. Pfluger and Roman have been promoted to the role of audit supervisor.
