With 28 employees, Kirschner & Associates, P.C., in the Atlanta area might seem small, which makes the impact they are having on their community and the world beyond even more remarkable.

This summer, ten employees, five spouses, and one client embarked on a mission trip to Jamaica. Continuing a worldwide theme, the firm sponsors a little girl named Ana, who lives in Peru. The sponsorship, which started a year ago, is made possible through the Compassion Organization. The firm and employees contribute money each month and to date, $412 has been raised for Ana.

Founded on Christian principles, Kirschner & Associates embraces an approach that people can show God's love through the giving of time and money to people who need it.
And there appears to be no shortage of need, globally or locally. The firm's latest project, School Tools for Cool Kids, focused on the Atlanta area and helping needy children get off to a good start for the academic year. The United Way of Cobb County specified what the students needed and the firm's outside sources, who were also affiliated with the United Way, came up with the goods. Kirschner & Associates served as a collection spot and employees packed up all of the supplies children need to be prepared in the classroom.

At Kirschner & Associates, shoebox projects have been popular and fun to create. The name implies everything – items are collected to fill up the boxes and they go to deserving recipients. The first was Operation Christmas Child in December when 25 boxes were packed with treats for children who may not have received gifts otherwise. They followed up in June, sending 21 boxes to soldiers who normally don't receive mail.
