Services added to QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program
by AccountingWEB on
New services have been added to the Intuit QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program designed to make it faster and easier for certified and non-certified ProAdvisors to benefit from the program by gaining more access to prospective clients online.
Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors are CPAs, accountants, and other professionals who work with small businesses. These ProAdvisors are QuickBooks experts - they’ve completed a comprehensive QuickBooks training course and exam in order to become certified. They assist clients in getting started correctly with the software, aiding in set-up, training, and troubleshooting.
"Intuit designed the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program to help accounting professionals grow their practices and better service their clients,” Samir Khosla, group product manager, Intuit Accounting Professionals Division, told AccountingWEB. “These added features help accomplish that by making it faster and easier for ProAdvisors to broaden their Internet presence to attract more clients in order to meet their own business objectives.”
In a recent Intuit poll, 82 percent of accounting and tax professional customers said finding new clients is important to meet their business objectives in the next few years. What’s more, potential clients say they are surfing the Web to find much needed local businesses and services, according to a Kelsey Group 2010 study.
To break down the barriers and bring together ProAdvisors and potential clients, Intuit’s QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program now features several new services to help ProAdvisors broaden their Internet presence and attract more clients.
All certified and noncertified QuickBooks ProAdvisors can access Intuit ProLine WebListings, which automatically publishes a ProAdvisor’s profile to more than 90 high-traffic Web sites, including Google Maps, Yahoo! Local, and Yellowpages.com. Certified ProAdvisors are further distinguished with their certified badge prominently displayed alongside their profile.
By using WebListings, ProAdvisors broaden their reach online and therefore are more likely to be found by potential clients searching Web sites for local services. Certified and noncertified QuickBooks ProAdvisors can use WebListings free for 90 days. The cost is then $9.99 per month. The free 90-day offer is available until June 30.
Other available enhancements
The Intuit QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program now includes the optimization of Certified ProAdvisors’ Find-a-ProAdvisor profiles for top search engines so their profiles can appear at the top of search engine results when prospective clients search for QuickBooks help in their area. To see the results, type "QuickBooks Help" followed by a preferred city, state /Zip.
Optimizing a Find-A-ProAdvisor profile is available only for Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors and is included in their ProAdvisor memberships.
And if a QuickBooks ProAdvisor isn’t yet certified but considers himself or herself a QuickBooks expert, the ProAdvisor Program now enables him to go straight to the QuickBooks certification exam, saving up to 20 hours of training. As soon as a ProAdvisor passes the exam, the QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor logo can be leveraged and their Find-a-ProAdvisor profile can be optimized for search.
Also, Intuit is planning to offer the Accountant Client Matching Service, which will be an online service matching prospective clients with ProAdvisors. This service is scheduled to be available as a test this summer to a portion of ProAdvisors (availability and timing subject to change).
