Road Warrior: United Provides Wireless Web

Continuing the trend to provide its customers with the latest technology, United Airlines will soon provide wireless Web and email connections for its passengers in airport terminals.

United has partnered with Aerzone to make these services available at the top 50 airports around the world.

The fact that United is providing 'wireless' service is the big news. Previously, airlines made available modem connections in their lounges, but United is the first to actually eliminate the need for a physical connection. In addition, the wireless service will be high-speed.

Airports have to agree before the service can be installed.
