Powerful Tool Now Available For Finance Professionals
For accounting professionals working as a company's Chief Financial Officer, the offering of services provided in the new and improved Thomson Corporate Finance's WG&L Corporate Finance Network may prove to be a powerful resource tool. But could this new resource be another "Turbo Tax" for accounting services offered by accounting firms?
The new web network offers interactive checklists that guide professionals through key activities such as SEC filings, merger and acquisition investigations, forecasting cash flow, and maximizing collections. In addition, pop up windows offer guidance for the user as the checklists automatically fill in the appropriate forms and calculate the needed data.
The new network is the only web-based resource housing complete FASB and IASC databases. The databases are frequently updated, completely searchable, and linked to authoritative analysis.
WG&L is offering a free trial to check out the site's four components- Finance Professional, SEC Compliance, GAAP Compliance, and Internal Auditing - which can be purchased separately or a as a package at www.wglcorpfinance.com or call 800.950.1216 for more information.
Voice of the Editor
Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
Why is that, you might ask? My job is to replace the irreplaceable Gail Perry as Editor-in-Chief. What does that mean? I don’t really know! I think it’ll be fun getting a feel for things, throwing in my own thoughts here and there, and listening to the discussions you’re having about the accounting profession.
