Paragon 4.0 is Released

Thomson Financial Security Solutions, a unit of Thomson Financial, announced the release of the latest version of its Paragon software, a program for comprehensive trading, safekeeping, portfolio management, and accounting solutions for banks and fixed-income broker-dealers.

According to the company’s press release, the new package features richer functionality, giving users open database access with an ODBC interface, streamlined trade entry capabilities, the ability to support server-based processes and more robust printing capabilities. PARAGON 4.0 also includes a powerful, new report reviewer that enables users to create Web/HTML formatted documents accessible by Web browsers.

In an attempt to bring users up to speed quickly on the new software, Thomson is planning on offering a series of Web conferences that will walk users through the new features while they sit at their own desks.
