September 11, 2003 Alert: Security Bulletin MS03-039 824146

A security issue has been identified that could allow an attacker to remotely compromise a computer running Microsoft Windows and gain complete control over it. You can help protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft.

September 4, 2003 Alert: Security Bulletin MS03-035

Last week, Microsoft reported five new flaws in its software, including one of "critical" severity that affects nearly all programs in its Office suite of software.

The flaw appears in nearly all programs included in Microsoft Office 97, 2000 and XP (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access). It also affects Visio 2000, 2002 and Project 2000 and 2002.

September 10, 2003 Virus Alert

There's a new virus in town and it's headed your way. The ominously named 9-11 Virus arrives in e-mail with a subject line of "It's Near 911" or something similar, and includes a file attachment that appears to be called 911.jpg. Resist the temptation to open the attachment!
