Laid-off Intuit employees start their own company

Last June 2008, Intuit Inc., the makers of QuickBooks, QuickBooks Point of Sale, Turbo Tax and many other fine products, announced the layoff of over 150 Tucson-based employees. This included the entire U.S. call center for QuickBooks Point of Sale, leaving only the India-based call center.

Intuit stated that more customers are going to the Web to get answers to their questions and incoming call volume had dropped. Several agents in the Tucson call center got together and created their own company - ASAP Business Solutions, LLC.

Martin Morse, one of the members of the LLC, stated, "This is a great opportunity for us to continue helping the best customers in the nation who prefer phone and on-site help from highly trained U.S.-based agents. No one can help QuickBooks Point of Sale customers better than we can, and now we can also help those customers who want us to come in person or may be a little Web-challenged or, let's face it, just need someone in the U.S. who speaks English.

"We also have created a member base association where other
QuickBooks and POS professionals can get together and get help from the experts and receive free leads for new customers who desire their help. We have spent a major portion of our lives supporting QuickBooks and QuickBooks Point of Sale customers, Pro Advisers, and Retail Solutions Providers, so why stop now? We are the best and they want our help, so now they can still get it free with membership."

"Our web site is >http://www.QBooksSolutions.com and anyone desiring help with QuickBooks or QuickBooks Point of Sale or is looking for a POS solution may get more information on our company there or call us at 800-511-4983," Mr. Morse also stated.

"This could not have happened without the help of Intuit.
They recognized the need of some customers who desire on site help. We are aligning ourselves with Intuit to help those customers who want help from the true support professionals of the software. With our help we can make more of Intuit's customers happy, many of the former Intuit employees happy, Pro Advisers and RSPs happy, while creating more sales and customers for Intuit, thanking them for helping their former employees with this great opportunity."

ASAP Business Solutions, LLC will donate 5 percent of its profits to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
