It’s a Woman’s Web
Jupiter Communications and Media Metrix released the results of a new study and it shows that women have passed men as the dominant users of the web. 50.4 percent of users are female which just edges the men out of the running.
It seems that site selection is the same across the board in all the adult age groups. In fact, the list of top sites for women was very similar to the entire population with America Online’s Web properties being the most popular for women over 18. Microsoft Corp and Yahoo Inc. sites were a close second.
The actual number of users grew by 22.4 percent since last year and the number of female users jumped up 34.9 percent.
