Free Online Tax Prep Now Available To Consumers
Financial broker H.D. Vest today announced a new service which offers US taxpayers free web-prepared e-filed tax returns, regardless of salary of form requirements.
The new service, available at H. D. Vest Online, is expected to draw one million users in its first tax preparation season. With a simple sign-up process, taxpayers will have full access to the free tax preparation and e-filing service and the many financial planning tools, including debt management techniques, retirement and college funding calculators and general insurance and risk management analysis available on the site.
Other large tax return services are offering low-cost online preparation, free preparation for individuals who meet a certain salary cap or free preparation for thos with limited forms requirements. The offer by H. D. Vest is reported to be the only one that is completely free with no restrictions.
