E-Commerce Solution For The Construction Industry Released

AEC Connect is PurchasePro.com’s browser-based e-commerce solution for the architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. PurchasePro.com is a leading provider of online “business-to-business marketplaces.”

The new software will electronically unite architects, engineers, contractors and suppliers. Linking the parties will offer operational efficiencies. Construction companies will be able to source, bid, negotiate, and buy and track materials in the new virtual marketplace with other project owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.

PurchasePro.com plans to team with Primavera Systems to deliver the new package. Primavera works with 366 of the nation’s top 400 construction companies and expects to manage projects worth over $250 billion with PurchasePro.com’s new software.
