Thomson Reuters customers gather for back-to-back tax and accounting conferences

The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters will host more than 2,000 customers at two user conferences this fall – one for its professional tax and accounting firm customers on October 27 and another for corporate tax department and trust tax customers on November 1.

Both conferences will be held just minutes from the nation’s capital at the Gaylord Hotel & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland, and will offer insight into the latest regulatory and compliance changes and technology tools, as well as hands-on sessions, continuing professional education (CPE) credits, and networking opportunities.
 
The 30th Annual Users’ Conference for Professional Tax and Accounting Firms will draw nearly a thousand participants. Attendees can earn up to 20 CPE credits by attending training sessions on CS Professional Suite and Enterprise Suite products, workshops on growing and managing practices, and sessions on compliance issues. Keynote speakers include Tax & Accounting’s Teresa Mackintosh, senior vice president and general manager, Americas - Professional; and Jon Baron, president, Americas, alongside well-known industry experts and motivational speakers.
 
“In its third decade, this is the longest running conference of its kind for professional tax and accounting firms, and its success is driven by the ability of our experts and invited guests to offer a unique insight, alongside educational experiences that attendees can put to use in their day-to-day activities,” said Brian Peccarelli, president of the Workflow & Service Solutions business in Tax & Accounting.
 
The 2010 ONESOURCE User Conference will host more than a thousand customers. Attendees can earn up to 19 CPE credits from among 250 sessions covering the ONESOURCE suite of products, Checkpoint’s award-winning research platform, and timely industry topics. Attendees also will gain valuable insight from more than 40 of the industry’s brightest minds, and new to this year’s event will be workshops on the Sabrix Application Suite and ONESOURCE Tax Information Reporting, as well as a forum on tax information reporting regulations and ramifications.
