IRS Joins Telemundo for Tax Program

Experts from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will join with national television network Telemundo for “Los Impuestos y Usted” (“Taxes and You”), a special one-hour tax program for Spanish-speaking taxpayers, airing Sunday, January 15 at 3:30 p.m. Eastern and Pacific Time and 2:30 p.m. Mountain and Central Time. The program, hosted by Monica Noguera, features in-studio interviews with IRS tax experts.

“Los Impuestos y Usted” will focus on a variety of tax issues, ranging from the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) for low income taxpayers, to IRS e-file, to choosing a tax preparer. IRS experts will also discuss taxpayers’ rights and how to get help with tax questions.

Telemundo has also launched an IRS Resource center on the Telemundo.com web site. Visitors to the site can join an online Web Chat and send questions to the IRS experts who will be answering incoming questions, live, between 3:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. EST.

Information about the IRS is available in Spanish through the IRS web site at www.irs.gov/espanol or by calling 1-800-829-1040 extension 8. The call is toll-free.
