Intuit Offers Gateway to Online Charities

The spirit of the holiday season is alive and well at Intuit.

The company has aligned itself and its TurboTax product with CharityGift.com, an online donations clearinghouse.

Users of TurboTax can click on a link included within the software program and be taken directly to the CharityGift online site. Direct donation to various charities, as well as the ability to honor someone by providing a donation, are available as options.

"We are pleased to offer consumers the opportunity to help themselves by helping others by contributing to the charity of their choice," says Bob Meighan, vice president of Intuit's Consumer Tax Group.
