ACCOUNTINGWEB'S Q&A FORUM

  1. I am controller for a small company that is growing very quickly. My question is: What do you think this accounting department should look like at this point. My sense is that we should have a bookkeeper that works full time and takes care of payroll, collections, A/P, A/R, reconcilations, etc and we should pay that person approximately $45,000. I could then be available to do financials, cash flow, and higher level issues. Please provide your feedback!

  2. I am starting to research PhD in Accounting programs, and I am having trouble finding information. Does anyone know of a website or other source of information that I may use to research these programs? Please provide your feedback!

  3. We have gone through a stock redemption agreement and as part of the agreement our 70% own entity was given up as forgiveness to the debt. This transaction was effective 4-30-04. My question is do I report earning of this 70% owned entity through 4-30-04 on my 6-30-04 10K filing? Please provide your feedback!
