Niche SuperConference Takes 'Synergy' to New Heights

Webster's Dictionary defines "Synergy" as "a mutually advantageous conjunction or compatibility of distinct business participants or elements." For years, accounting associations and professional networks focusing on industry-specific or service-specific activity have leveraged the concept of synergy to bring added value to like-minded business professionals. The Alliance of Professional Associations (APA) expands the concept of synergy of like-minded individuals, and raises the bar by leveraging like-minded associations that can seamlessly benefit from each other.

In July, The APA hosted over 200 niche specialists at the ninth annual SuperConference in Chicago. Formerly managed by Pencor, the SuperConference brings together a family of niche-based associations - CPAs and consultants - to grow their individual practices, to raise the level of competence in each association, and to "cross-pollinate" the various associations to maximize the leverage that this unique family tree offers.

Joint sessions at the conference included "Implementing a Sales Culture in Your Firm" presented by Ron Schakowsky, and "Hyperservice: Creating Customer Loyalty and Higher Profits" by Sue Hershkowitz-Coore. Niche associations then broke into separate sessions with nationally recognized speakers highlighting each presentation.

Who are the APA associations? SuperConference attendees represented the following niche areas:

The Alliance of Professional Associations is one of several affiliated companies of Quantum Alliance, LLC, a conglomerate organization that provides education and training to the professional planning disciplines and whose only purpose is to build the business of the financial planner, CPA and attorney. Quantum Alliance is the brainchild of Steve Wild, the visionary entrepreneur who made his mark understanding the needs of broker/dealers and delivering products and services to that market segment. Steve Wild always had the vision of providing a platform on which the client's most trusted advisors could collaborate. Such a platform would allow for a more effective and flexible planning approach for the client and greater business adaptability for the advisor's practice.

From Quantum Alliance, to the Alliance of Professional Associations, to the niche networks, to the member firms, and ultimately to the individual practitioner, focused "synergy" drives the collaborative processes, and member firms and their clients are the ultimate winners.
