*** PLATT'S PERSPECTIVE ***

I've got a homework assignment for you - it shouldn't take more than five minutes to do and you'll be amazed at the positive goodwill that it will generate. Ready?

Look around your office today and notice everyone who is supporting your success. Just step out of your office and scan the room and take note of everyone - administrative staff, marketing directors, receptionists, junior staff, partners, operations directors, the technology support team - and take a moment to let it all sink in as to how much they help you, Mr. or Mrs. I'm-So-Great, be successful.

Now here's the extra credit for your homework. Walk around the room, look everyone in the eye, and sincerely thank them for their contributions to your organization. You'll be amazed at how motivating a quick and sincere appreciation truly is. Imagine, if everyone reading this today were to complete this assignment, today could be THE most productive day across the accounting profession! Try it - you'll see what I mean...
