(RIVERWOODS, ILL., DATE) – CCH INCORPORATED (CCH), a leading provider of professional tax software and services, has announced completion of a partnership agreement with Knowledge Concepts, Inc. in which CCH and Knowledge Concepts will form a strategic marketing alliance.
The CCH Tax Compliance Group is a leading supplier of software for tax and accounting professionals. Knowledge Concepts is the developer of FirmWorks software, which provides sales force automation, customer relationship management and process automation functionality for accounting firms.
With this partnership, Knowledge Concepts will recommend
ProSystem fx® Practice as their preferred practice management software, while CCH Tax Compliance will focus on lead generation and sharing, co-sponsored direct mailings, and cross-advertising to ProSystem fx Practice customers, as well as a presence on the ProSystem fx web site.
Moving Towards A Paperless Practice
FirmWorks is a browser-based application that allows firms to leverage their investment in ProSystem fx Practice, helping the professional better manage their practice in a paperless environment. ProSystem fx Practice data can be automatically integrated with FirmWorks, reducing the need to maintain multiple databases.
FirmWorks provides a single access point for all of the firm's information and also offers a strong client relationship management component.
In addition to strong time and billing features and comprehensive project tracking capabilities, ProSystem fx Practice is integrated with ProSystem fx Tax to allow seamless tracking of time and invoice charges related to tax preparation.
“ProSystem fx Practice and FirmWorks work well together,” said Kevin Robert, president and CEO of CCH Tax Compliance. “Firms will benefit by combining Practice's comprehensive client, staff and project data, along with its powerful billing and accounts receivables features with FirmWorks’ client relationship management and resource management capabilities. The result is a solution that will meet all of a firm’s needs.”
“We are very pleased that CCH will be representing FirmWorks," said Tom C. Davis, CPA and president of Knowledge Concepts. "CCH has an excellent reputation for its superior products and FirmWorks complements their offerings well. We also see many opportunities to increase the integration between CCH products and FirmWorks.”

Voice of the Editor
Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
Why is that, you might ask? My job is to replace the irreplaceable Gail Perry as Editor-in-Chief. What does that mean? I don’t really know! I think it’ll be fun getting a feel for things, throwing in my own thoughts here and there, and listening to the discussions you’re having about the accounting profession.
