Join AccountingWEB in Making a Child's Wish Come True

See donation information below.

For many children, attending school, playing soccer and building a snowman during the holidays are joyful activities that require little effort. For others who are ill, optimism is aimless, energy is obscured and joy is not so promising.

It is for these children that we are rallying the support of AccountingWEB members, readers, clients, suppliers, advertisers, authors and contributors – to raise money during this holiday season for the Make-A Wish Foundation, whose mission it is to make dreams come true. The Make-a-Wish Foundation (www.wish.org) grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Since our founding, AccountingWEB’s mission has been "to inform, to enrich, to enlighten and to entertain." It is now our opportunity to collectively enrich the lives of others by generously contributing what you or your firm can to this very special AccountingWEB effort.

With the help of the imagination of kids, the Make-a-Wish Foundation provides wish experiences that evoke indescribable laughter and renewed spirit. A wish creates the opportunity for a seriously ill child to forget about being ill and remember what it is like to be a kid.

Please join in this AccountingWEB profession-wide effort. We will collect your donations during the month of December and present them to the Make-a-Wish Foundation right after the New Year.

Donation Deadline is December 27, 2004.
