Girls Going Places Scholarship Awards!

Do you know a young woman between the ages of 12 and 16 who shows potential to succeed in business? Do you know a young woman who makes a difference and demonstrates budding entrepreneurship or financial sense? Do you know a young woman who deserves to be awarded a college scholarship? If your answer is yes to any of these questions tell us about her in 1,000 words or less and submit your entry by September 1, she could be a $15,000.00 scholarship winner.

“Our world is in the midst of great economic change. This change offers many opportunities for women in the workplace and young women soon to become part of it. For this reason we at the Guardian, in cooperation with Working Woman Magazine, are sponsoring a nationwide search for young women who make a difference in their communities. Young women must show potential for personal success through their entrepreneurial gusto and keen financial sense. The rules are changing on the financial playing field and we are looking to develop leadership among the young women of our nation in order to meet the challenges of tomorrow,” said Anita Bryant of Innovative Planning Services, Woodbury, and general agent of Guardian Life Insurance Company of America.

Fifteen finalists will be recognized at an awards ceremony in November and their profiles will run in the December/ January issue of Working Woman. Three scholarships will be awarded: first place - $15,000; second place - $7,000; third place - $3,000. For an official entry form and a copy of the full contest rules, call or write to: Anita Bryant, Innovative Planning Services, (516) 490-2021, 40 Crossways Park Drive, Woodbury, NY 11797 or on the Internet at www.glic.com/events or www.workingmother.com.
