“The firm grew 30 percent in 2005, and we are proud to see that our level of employee satisfaction has been sustained through this stage of growth and expansion,” said Ivan C. Brown, managing director of WS+B. “Our people are the heart of our firm, and we work at keeping our employees challenged and rewarded to maintain our high rate of staff retention.”

WithumSmith+Brown was founded in 1974 and has grown into one of the largest regional accounting and consulting firms in New Jersey, becoming one of the Top 10 CPA firms in New Jersey and Top 40 CPA firms nationally. WS+B currently employs more than 300 employees.

NJBIZ created the “Best places to Work in New Jersey” Awards program to “honor those companies that show a dedication to their employees.” Research was conducted in two parts: an organizational inventory of corporate management and an individualized survey for company employees. The resulting data was compiled and analyzed by The Best Companies Group, an independent organization in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, that developed a formula to determine which companies made the list.
