In other merger news, New York City-based Friedman LLP and Bagell, Josephs, Levine and Co. LLC of Marlton, NJ, will join forces on January 1 under the name Friedman LLP. The merger will allow Friedman to build its practice area in New Jersey for publicly-held clients. Audit, accounting, and tax services will be integrated. The firms said that Friedman is an independent member of the DFK International association of accounting firms, which will benefit Bagell, Josephs, Levine and Co., as the firm recently opened an office in Beijing.
