TravisWolff names partner to its Individuals Practice Group

Dallas, TX-based TravisWolff Independent Advisors and Accountants has named Jerri Hammer as a partner of the Firm. Hammer joined TravisWolff’s Individuals Practice Group in August of 2007.

Hammer’s practice focuses on all facets of estate planning, including gifts, trusts, and estate taxation; litigation support for clients involved in divorce proceedings as well as fiduciary litigation, including court ordered fiduciary accountings. Additionally, she works with not-for-profit entities on a range of issues, including the obtainment and maintenance of tax-exempt status and compliance filings.

The Individuals Group, consisting of 25 professionals, including five partners, is one of the largest practices in the State devoted exclusively to working with successful clients on complex tax issues pertaining to wealth preservation and asset transfer and protection.

Hammer practiced law for 10 years prior to obtaining her CPA license and pursuing a career in the accounting field in 1997. She holds a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, a M.S. in Accounting from University of Texas at Dallas, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas. Additionally she has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Texas.

Hammer is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants, Texas Society of CPAs, State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, Collaborative Law Institute of Texas, Dallas Estate Planning Council, member of the board of directors of the Arthritis Foundation-Texas Chapter, serves as director and treasurer for the Association for Independent Living, and serves on the advisory council of the University of Texas at Dallas.
